The East Grand Rapids Department of Public Safety endorses Safe Kids Grand Rapids for car seat check events in the region including five permanent fitting stations located within the Greater Grand Rapids area, which are primarily situated at police and fire departments. However, East Grand Rapids does not conduct these checks themselves. Each fitting station will have nationally certified child passenger safety technicians available, equipped with all the necessary materials to inspect child safety seats.
