- School Crossing Guards - Crossing guards help students get to school safely. They are posted at all the elementary schools and the middle school. Each guard is provided with yearly training through AAA of Michigan. Contact the school / community liaison officer for more information. They play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of students as they navigate busy streets and intersections. With their brightly colored vests and stop signs in hand, crossing guards are a familiar and reassuring presence for both children and parents alike. Their dedication goes beyond simply stopping traffic; they engage with the community, often learning the names of the children and offering a friendly smile or wave to start the day on a positive note.
